Student volunteers banding Indigo Bunting

Student volunteers band Indigo Bunting

Southern Appalachian Raptor Research (SARR) volunteers are our most valuable asset. We could have better funding and equipment, but without the enthusiasm and energy of many dozens of volunteers each season, SARR would not exist.

In an effort to expand learning opportunities for current and future volunteers, we will offer a pre-season training session at Big Bald Banding Station during the 2018 season. Please contact us if you are interested in participating in volunteer training and activities.
