For the past several years, fourth grade students from Evergreen Community Charter School in Asheville, NC visited Big Bald Banding Station during the fall migration banding season. The faculty of Evergreen and staff of Southern Appalachian Raptor Research (SARR) created a collaborative Bird Unit which includes hands-on field studies and follow-up classroom activities.
